Huawei presents ‘flagship’ at event on February 26
Huawei has sent out invitations to an event on February 26, the day before the start of the Mobile World Congress telecom fair in Barcelona. It then announces, in its own words, a ‘flagship’. It may be the P10 smartphone.
The presentation of an important device at the end of February would be a surprise. In recent years, the manufacturer has always organized its own events to present its P-phones. At the events surrounding Mobile World Congress, it showed less important products, such as midrange smartphones, tablets and wearables.
Android Authority, among others, considers it likely that Huawei will show the successor to its P9 just before the fair. The manufacturer previously said that the P10 and P10 Plus should appear this spring. There have been rumors about those devices for some time, but Huawei has not confirmed or denied them until now.
Huawei would not be the only one to show important models on the Sunday before Mobile World Congress. Nokia has also announced that it will do so. Last year, LG and Samsung also presented their most important smartphones of the year on the same Sunday before the fair opened.
