Huawei presents budget smartphone with OLED screen and large battery in China
Huawei has presented a budget smartphone in China with a 5″ OLED screen and a large 4100mAh battery. It is rare that phones with this screen size have such a large battery on board.
The phone is called the Huawei Enjoy 6 and measures 143.2×70.4×7.9mm, making it about the same size and thickness as many other 5″ phones. The Enjoy 6 has a 5″ OLED screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, which makes it display has around 294 pixels per inch.
The Huawei smartphone has a MediaTek MT6750 soc on board. That soc has eight Cortex A53 cores at 1.4GHz, with a Mali T860MP2 from ARM. There is 3GB of RAM, while the standard storage is 16GB. Users can expand the storage via a micro SD card. On the back is an unspecified 13-megapixel camera, on the front is a front camera with a maximum resolution of five megapixels.
The phone is made of polycarbonate with a ‘metallic’ appearance. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back. Huawei will put the Enjoy 6 on sale in November for 1299 yuan, which is currently about 175 euros. The Enjoy phones have not been released in Europe until now. It is unknown when Huawei will use the larger batteries in smartphones that come to Europe. Until now, only Huawei’s Mate devices have such large batteries, but those smartphones have 6″ screens and are much larger.
