Huawei gives P9 series Android Nougat before the end of the month
Huawei has announced that it will soon release the software update with Android Nougat for the P9. The manufacturer promises availability before the end of the month, and that probably also applies to the P9 Plus.
The Indian branch of Huawei made the news known through his Twitter account. In the first quarter, Android Nougat should be released worldwide for the P9 smartphone, which means a release before the end of this month. The software update brings Emui 5.0, the interface developed by Huawei on top of Android, to the device, and it is based on Android version 7.0, or Nougat.
The software update had been available as a beta for both the P9 and P9 Plus for some time, but Huawei had not yet announced a specific date for the worldwide availability of Android Nougat on the P9 series. Chinese users of the P9 smartphones already had access to the new software. Huawei promised to come with the update in December, and then talked about a release early this year.
