Huawei claims to have shipped more than 95 million smartphones in the past six months. The P20 and Mate 10 series of devices were good for 19 million units. As a result, the supply of high-end models has increased considerably.

At the beginning of this year, Huawei announced that more than 20 million devices from the P10 and Mate 9 series were delivered in 2017. Those were the high-end devices at the time, which have now been followed by the P20 and Mate 10 models. In six months, Huawei has now delivered almost the same number of high-end smartphones as last year in twelve months.

Huawei says in a message about the results of the past six months that more than 9 million copies of P20 smartphones have been delivered. The P20 series came out in March, with the P20 Pro as the top model. In addition, more than 10 million Mate 10 smartphones have been delivered in the meantime, Huawei released the Mate 10 Pro at the end of last year.

Huawei offers different models with different prices in both the P20 and Mate 10 series. In the P series, the most expensive model is the P20 Pro with a price of 739 euros, while the P20 Lite is offered for 258 euros. The most expensive Mate is the Mate 10 Pro with 518 euros and the cheapest variant is the Mate 10 Lite which can be found for 219 euros. The Chinese manufacturer only talks about the deliveries of the series. It is not known what the ratio is of the expensive and cheap models within the P20 and Mate 10 series.

Furthermore, Huawei says that there are now more than 50 million users of a Nova smartphone. In the Benelux, the Chinese manufacturer now releases the cheaper models in the P Smart series. For example, the recently announced P Smart+ is the Nova 3i in other parts of the world.

Analysts estimated earlier this week that Huawei has overtaken Apple in the past quarter when it comes to deliveries of smartphones worldwide. This puts the Chinese manufacturer in second place in terms of market share, Samsung is number one.

According to Reuters, Huawei expects to deliver a total of more than 200 million smartphones this year. That would be a significant increase compared to last year, when the company delivered 153 million smartphones.
