Huawei announces tablet with 10.3″ e-ink screen

Huawei has announced the MatePad Paper, a tablet with an e-ink screen. The tablet has a 10.3″ panel and supports input from the stylus that Huawei uses in combination with multiple products. The tablet runs on HarmonyOS 2.

The tablet runs on HarmonyOS 2, the manufacturer’s own operating system that is also on the Chinese versions of its smartphones. Biometric authentication is done via a fingerprint scanner. The tablet measures 22.5x18cm and is 6.65mm thick, with a weight of 360g. This includes a 3625mAh battery, which users can charge with up to 22.5W via the USB-C port. The tablet has Wi-Fi with 2×2 MiMo and Wi-Fi 6 support, in addition to Bluetooth 5.2. The MatePad Paper should be released this year in Europe for 499 euros. The stylus and a cover are included in the package.
