The MediaPad M6 is the first to be released in China, with the variant with the 8.4″ screen being offered from converted 255 euros for the cheapest version with 64GB storage. The 10.8″ version comes on the market with a starting price of converted 294 euros. The most expensive version will receive support for 4G and has 128GB of storage, and should yield about 447 euros. Delivery will start on July 10 for the 10.8″ version and on July 20 for the 8.4″ version. However, it is not yet known when Huawei will start selling outside of China.
In addition to the difference in screen dimensions, there is also a difference in the built-in battery. The version with a larger screen also has a larger battery, namely 7500mAh compared to 6100mAh. Furthermore, both models have a 13-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel camera on the front. There is 4GB of RAM built in and the whole thing runs on Android with version 9.1 of the Emui skin. In addition, there is a usb-c connection, a headphone connection and support for micro-sd.
Huawei released the previous generation, the MediaPad M5, a year ago with Android 8.0. Compared to the M6, the screen dimensions have remained the same, but the soc has been updated from the Kirin 960 to the Kirin 980.
