Huawei announces Mate 20 X smartphone with 7.2″ OLED screen
Huawei has also announced the Mate 20 X in addition to the Mate 20 and 20 Pro. With its 7.2 “OLED screen, it is the largest model in the series. Huawei is targeting gamers with the device, among other things. The phone will not be released in the Benelux, but elsewhere in Europe for 899 euros.
In its presentation, Huawei showed that the Mate 20 X has a 7.2″ screen with a full HD resolution. It is an extended screen, with at least 1080 pixels in width. The design of the device resembles that of the Mate 20, but a larger version.The Mate 20, however, has an LCD, while the Mate 20 X has an OLED screen.
The device will receive the Kirin 980-soc, just like the Mate 20 Pro and the Mate 20. The large housing contains a 5000mAh battery and the manufacturer claims that advanced cooling is present, so that the phone is suitable for long gaming sessions. . For this, Huawei also releases an optional gamepad with an analog stick and a d-pad, which can be clicked on the left if the phone is used horizontally.
On the back are three cameras, including the primary 40-megapixel camera, as with the other Mate 20 models. The device is waterproof and has stereo speakers. Huawei also makes an optional stylus, the M-Pen with 4096 pressure levels, which can be used to work on the big screen.
The Huawei Mate 20 X will not be officially released in the Benelux, but will appear in other European countries from October 26 for a suggested retail price of 899 euros. For that price, buyers get a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
