Huawei announces event for suspected P9 smartphone presentation
Huawei has confirmed that it will hold an event in London on April 6, and while the manufacturer isn’t saying it, it is believed to be announcing the P9. The manufacturer seized an event in London in April last year to present its P8 devices.
The manufacturer sent media an invitation with the text ‘#00 change the way you see the world’. In addition, Huawei may hint at the dual camera of the P9, a function that the Chinese smartphone maker already applied to the Honor 6 Plus last year. Dual cameras have been around in smartphones for some years, but seem to play a bigger role in the near future. LG put a dual camera on its V10, G5 and X Cam, while Apple might consider it for its next iPhone.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 6 at an unspecified location in London. This makes it similar to the announcement of the P8 series last year. In addition, Huawei came with the regular P8, the large P8 max and the cheaper P8 lite. The latter achieved the greatest success in Europe. Huawei delivered ten million copies of the device on this continent.
According to a recent rumor, the P9 has a 5.2″ screen with full HD resolution, runs on an octacore Kirin 950-soc with four Cortex A72 cores and four A53 cores with Mali T880 GPU, has a dual 12 megapixel camera on the back and, according to the software, has a 3900 mAh battery. There are also three other versions, a Premium version with Kirin 955-soc, more memory and more storage, a cheaper Lite version and a large Max- phone.
