HTC will refund customers who own a Ryzen PC and purchased a Vive Wireless Adapter. The adapter does not appear to work for a group of customers, although it is still unclear exactly what causes this.

HTC has this week started refunding the money for the purchase of the 345 euro Wireless Adapter, the manufacturer reports. It is investigating the issues with the Ryzen processors. It seems that the Wireless Adapter is incompatible with some Ryzen systems. “Our investigation takes time, because we work with various component makers to determine the cause.”

Users who want to return the Wireless Adapter must have proof of purchase and also be able to show that they have an AMD Ryzen system, something that support staff will help with, the manufacturer promises. They can then return the Wireless Adapter and get a full refund.

The manufacturer does not say when it expects to have found the cause for the problems. The Wireless Adapter went on sale in September, and shortly after the start of sales, the first complaints from customers with Ryzen PCs surfaced on various forums.
