Owners of a Vive Pro will need to purchase a slightly different package. In addition to the adapter, PCI-e card and Link Box, this contains another connection cable, foam padding and a mounting accessory. This package costs 420 euros.
The adapter must be attached to the headset and communicates via the 802.11ad protocol, or WiGig, through the 60GHz spectrum with the antenna. According to the manufacturer, the adapter has a range of six meters and a field of view of 150 degrees from the antenna.
