HTC releases Wildfire R70 phone with three cameras and micro USB connection
HTC has released a new phone in the cheap segment. The device has three camera sensors and a battery of 4000mAh, but also a micro-USB port. It is not yet known when the device will be released and what it will cost.
The company announced the Wildfire R70 on Friday. The device probably falls in a lower price range given the specifications, although the final price is not yet known. HTC gives the R70 three cameras on the back. The primary camera measures 16 megapixels. The device also has a 2-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a depth camera with a resolution of 2 megapixels. The front camera has 8 megapixels.
The device runs on an octacore processor from MediaTek, the Helio P23. In addition, the device has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Striking is the relatively large battery of 4000mAh which HTC says will last two full days. The phone has an HD+ display with a 1560 x 720 resolution and a size of 6.53 inches. At the front is a notch in the shape of a water drop. HTC has opted for a micro-USB connection instead of a USB-C connection. The company does not provide any further explanation. It is not yet known when the device will be released and whether that is also in the Benelux. The price is also unknown. HTC will release the device in two colors: blue and black.
