HTC lowers price of Vive headset with controllers to 699 euros
HTC is making a price cut for the Vive. There will be 200 euros from the price, which means that the VR headset is now for sale for 699 euros. For that price, HTC provides the headset, two Lighthouse stations and two controllers.
As a prelude to the fall, the period of the year when most games usually appear on the market, HTC is lowering the price of the Vive, it states in a press release. HTC also provides a temporary subscription to Viveport with the set. That’s a new service that allows Vive owners to try out five VR titles every month. The set also comes with Google’s Tilt Brush, EverestVR and Richie’s Plank Experience applications.
Earlier this month, Oculus announced that the price of the Vive’s biggest competitor, the Oculus Rift, will be significantly reduced. The Rift has been selling for 599 euros for a few weeks. The Oculus bundle also includes the headset, two controllers and two sensors. The bundle comes with six games.
