HTC introduces U24 Pro phone with 120Hz OLED screen and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC

HTC introduces its U24 Pro phone. The device has an OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC from Qualcomm. The smartphone has a suggested retail price of 564 euros.

The screen of the HTC U24 Pro will have a diagonal of 6.8″ and an aspect ratio of 20:9. This gives the device a resolution of 2436×1080 pixels. The OLED panel has a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and will be covered with Gorilla Glass. The device will be 167.10 mm high, 74.90mm wide and 8.98mm thick.

HTC equips the U24 Pro with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC from Qualcomm. This midrange processor is produced on 4nm and has a total of eight cores. This includes four Cortex-A715 cores. One of them reaches 2.63GHz, with a boost clock, and the other three reach a maximum of 2.40GHz. The chip also has four more energy-efficient Cortex-A510 cores at 1.80GHz. The HTC U24 Pro also has 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage.

There are three cameras on the back of the phone. The primary camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels. The phone also has a 50-megapixel sensor with telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle camera of 8 megapixels, which also serves as a depth sensor. The selfie camera on the front also gets a resolution of 50 megapixels.

The device also gets a 4600mAh battery with support for 60W wired charging. Wirelessly, the maximum charging power is 15W. The device also supports 'reverse charging', which allows the phone to charge another device wirelessly with up to 5W. The device gets a 3.5mm jack for audio and a USB-C port, supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, and offers a microSD card reader and a fingerprint reader.
