HTC announces One X10 smartphone with 4000mAh battery
HTC has presented its smartphone One X10. It is the manufacturer’s first smartphone with a 4000mAh battery. It is a metal midrange phone with MediaTek Helio P10 soc.
The One X10 should appear on Friday at providers and retailers in Russia and HTC has also put the product page online in that country. The midrange phone has space for two nano-SIM cards. In addition, users can expand the storage of 32GB with a microSD card. Whether the phone has three slots or whether users have to choose between a second SIM card or SD card is not yet clear.
The phone runs on a MediaTek Helio P10, an octacore with eight Cortex A53 cores at up to 2GHz and an ARM Mali T680MP2 GPU. The fingerprint scanner is on the back instead of the front. That could have made room for stereo speakers on the front like the HTC One M7, M8 and M9, but instead the X10 has the BoomSound setup of the HTC 10, with a speaker at the bottom and tweeter above the screen.
The Android smartphone has a 16-megapixel camera with a sensor that has 1 µm large pixels. The front camera has an angle of view of 86 degrees and an 8-megapixel sensor. The device has a 5.5″ LCD with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and is 15.3×7.6cm in size, with a thickness of 8.3mm. The supported frequency bands ensure that the device would also work on 4g frequencies in the Benelux HTC has so far not announced anything about a release outside of Russia.
