HP launches EliteBook Revolve convertible for business

HP has announced the EliteBook Revolve, a convertible that runs on Windows 8. The EliteBook Revolve, which is aimed at the business market, can be used as a tablet or as a notebook thanks to the rotatable touchscreen.

The 11.6″ touchscreen has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and is provided with a matte Gorilla Glass 2 protective layer. EliteBook Revolve Depending on the chosen configuration, it can be equipped with an SSD up to a maximum of 256GB. With the processor choice, you can choose from an Intel Core i3, i5 or i7, while the working memory is 4GB as standard. An empty slot is available to expand the RAM up to a maximum of 12GB.

HP has equipped the EliteBook Revolve with 802.11n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, and a displayport output. There are also two USB 3.0 connections, as well as a 3.5 mm audio output and a 720p webcam. The device also houses GPS and accelerometer sensors, while a six-cell 44Wh battery powers the convertible. Optionally, the Revolve can be equipped with a 3g/4g module and a corresponding stylus is for sale separately.

Also an option for the business EliteBook Revolve is a docking station, while HP offers the option to install Windows 7 instead of Windows 8. The convertible is expected to hit the market in March 2013 for an unknown price.
