HP equips new Envy x360 15 convertibles with AMD processors
HP has announced new laptops and convertibles for the Envy line. The Envy 13 and 17 laptops get an Intel processor; the x360 13 convertible gets an AMD processor. The x360 15 convertible will be available in AMD or Intel processor versions.
The HP Envy x360 13 convertible gets an AMD Ryzen 7 apu with a maximum clock speed of 4GHz and AMD Radeon Vega 10 graphics. This is probably the Ryzen 7 3700U that is also in the renewed x360 15. The 13″ screen is an LCD panel and depending on the version it has a full-HD or ultra-HD resolution. The computer has a thickness of 14.7mm and weighs 1.3kg. storage and a button to close the webcam All Envy devices will get that webcam kill switch and are expected from April The x360 13 costs converted with VAT from 746 euros.
The x360 15 can be purchased with an AMD Ryzen 7 3700U or a Ryzen 5 3500U. This convertible also comes with Intel processors, then you can choose from an i5-8265U or an i7-8565U. All x360 15 convertibles come with 8GB of RAM. The graphics power on Intel laptops comes standard from an Intel Graphics 620 chip. There will also be a version with an Nvidia GeForce MX250 card with 4GB gddr5 memory.
The x360 15 comes with a 15″ display. Consumers can choose between an OLED and an LCD panel with a full HD or 4K resolution. All Envy devices with an Intel CPU will have a silver housing; the laptops or convertibles with AMD apu are supplied in black.The x360 15 with AMD processor costs at least 853 euros converted with VAT, for the Intel variant at least 927 euros must be paid.

HP has also announced two Envy laptops. Consumers can choose between a 13″ or 17″ variant. Both get an Intel i7-8565U, with a maximum clock speed of 4.6GHz. Graphics power comes from an MX250; the 13″ version has 2GB of gddr5 memory on board. The bigger brother gets twice as much graphics memory. Both laptops have LCD panels with full HD resolution, although the 13″ version can also be used with a 4k screen are provided.
The HP Envy 17
The Envy 13 laptop is as thick as the x360 13 and weighs 1.18kg. The Envy 17 is slightly thicker at about 22.5mm. This laptop is also slightly heavier at 2.9 kg. The latter will receive an optical disc drive, a hard drive with up to 1TB of storage and a PCIe SSD with up to 512GB of storage. Both laptops will have a minimum price of 959 euros, converted including VAT.
