HP adds USB-C to Specter 13 x360 models with Windows 10
HP comes with new versions of the Specter 13 x360 that are equipped with Windows 10. HP equips the laptops with USB-C, the interface for the reversible USB connector. The other specifications of the new versions seem unchanged.
HP has put two new versions of its popular Specter 13 x360 in its store, tweaker Justin_ discovered. These are the HP Specter x360 – 13-4102dx and the HP Specter x360 – 13-4101dx with US suggested retail prices of $1400 and $1150 respectively. Converted and with VAT, that is currently 1556 and 1286 euros. HP supplies both laptops with Windows 10 as standard.
Compared to previous Specter x360 versions, a USB-c port has been added. It is probably a port for USB 3.0 and not for the faster USB 3.1. Manufacturers are increasingly installing USB-C, which supports the reversible connector, in laptops. The best-known examples are Apple with its MacBook and Google with its Chromebook Pixel 2015. The most expensive x360 has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and has an SSD of 512GB, the cheaper one shows 1920×1080 pixels and has a 256GB SSD.
The Specter 13 x360 laptops contain a Core i7-5500U processor from Intel’s Broadwell generation, 8GB DDR3, WiFi-AC with a 2×2 network card and HDMI and mini-displayport. HP released the first Specter 13 x360 in March.
