Hot Wheels Unleashed is Milestone’s Fastest Selling Game

Developer Milestone announces that Hot Wheels Unleashed has sold more than a million copies. The game was released on September 30 for consoles and PC. This makes it the developer’s fastest-selling title to date.

Milestone is an Italian developer best known for its motorcycle racing games in the MotoGP, Ride and MXGP series. Hot Wheels Unleashed is an arcade racer based on the toy cars of the same name. Milestone made Hot Wheels Unleashed in collaboration with Mattel. That’s the toy manufacturer that owns the Hot Wheels rights.

Milestone announced in a press release that Hot Wheels Unleashed is the studio’s fastest-selling game to date, Gematsu writes. One million copies of the game have been sold in about three months.

Hot Wheels Unleashed was announced on February 25 and released on September 30. According to Milestone CEO Luisa Bixio, fans responded enthusiastically to the announcement and the studio received a lot of positive response after the release. Hot Wheels Unleashed is available for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Series X and S, Nintendo Switch and for PC on the Epic Games Store and on Steam.
