Hot Wheels will release the Hot Wheels Rocket League RC Rivals Set in the fall. The set consists of two cars that can be controlled with a smartphone, a stadium with LCD scoreboards and a ball with an infrared sensor.

Hot Wheels is making the physical version of Rocket League in collaboration with the game’s creators. Those who buy the RC Rivals Set also get access to DLC in the digital game. Pictures of the remote-controlled cars and the ‘stadium’ have not yet been shown, the makers only show sketches of the game and they are not yet final.

The set consists of two so-called Battle-Cars, Octane and Dominus. The cars can be controlled via a smartphone app by connecting with bluetooth. The stadium consists of a mat, with goals on both sides with a sensor and LCDs to display the score. Scoring a goal produces a sound effect. The set includes a boost pad station, with which the cars and the ball are charged.

Hot Wheels will show the set at the Toy Fair starting Saturday in New York. At the end of the year, during the holiday season, the RC Rivals Set should hit the market for $180. Converted with VAT, that is about 175 euros.
