Horror game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be released in 2023 for PC and consoles

Sumo Digital will release horror game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre next year for PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles. The asymmetric multiplayer game is based on the 1974 film of the same name. The publisher shows new gameplay images in a trailer.

In The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, players take on the role of a murderer or one of his potential victims. In the victim role, players must stay out of the killer’s reach, writes developer Gun Interactive† The game is based on the 1974 film of the same name and “based on true events”. The film in question is inspired by the crimes of the American murderer Ed Gein

With a new trailer, publisher Sumo Digital announces that the game will be released in 2023 for current and previous generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The game is coming to Steam and the Microsoft Store for PC. The game will also be available directly through the Game Pass subscription.

Developer Gun Interactive is also credited with the horror games Friday the 13th: The Game, Layers of Fear 2 and the Breach & Clear strategy games. It has not yet been announced when the new game will be released in 2023.
