Honor releases Honor 8 Pro for 549 euros
Honor has released two new smartphones in the Benelux. The Honor 8 Pro is aimed at the high-end market and includes a 5.7″ display with quad-HD resolution and a Kirin 960-soc, while the Honor 6C is a mainstream model with 5″ display.
The manufacturer announced the Honor 8 Pro in February under the name Huawei Honor V9. The device has a metal housing with a thickness of 6.97 mm and a screen diagonal of 5.7 “, slightly smaller than the 5.9 ” of the Mate 9 from parent company Huawei. The resolution is 2560×1440 pixels and with a ppi of 515 the image is a lot sharper than that of the Mate 9, which comes to 373ppi. The soc is the same: the Kirin 960 octacore from Huawei itself.
There is also 6GB of RAM and the model has 64GB of storage. The device has a dual 12-megapixel camera system with a monochrome and an RGB lens. The battery capacity is 4000mAh and the smartphone runs Emui 5.1 on Android 7 Nougat. The manufacturer releases the Honor 8 Pro in black, blue and gold for 549 euros. The manufacturer takes pre-orders for the smartphone immediately.
In addition, the Honor 6C appears. This is a 5″ device with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435, there is 3GB of ram and 32GB of storage, and the camera resolution is 13 megapixels. This model with Android 6 will be available for 229 euros.
