Honor introduces Honor 50 series worldwide and announces prices
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Honor announces that the Honor 50 series will be available worldwide from Tuesday. The Honor 50 is available in Europe from 529 euros and the Honor 50 Lite is available from 299 euros.
The Honor 50 was already announced for the Chinese market in June, but it was not yet known when the smartphone would come to the US and Europe. The cheapest model will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For an additional cost of 70 euros, the Honor 50 is also available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
It is striking that the phone again comes with Google apps. Because parent company Huawei was imposed trade restrictions from the US, Honor was also no longer allowed to purchase services from Google. Honor has split off and is now allowed to deliver smartphones with Google services again. The company had already announced that it would launch new Honor devices in the West in October.
Nothing has changed on the Honor 50 compared to the announcement in June. The Honor 50 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and runs on Android 11. The device has a 6.57 “screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The battery of 4300mAh battery supports 66W fast charging.
The Honor 50 series also has a Pro version that is already available in China, but the manufacturer did not say anything about this device at the time of the announcement. It is therefore to be seen whether the Pro variant of the Honor 50 will come to Europe. The Honor 50 Lite has been announced and will be available in Europe from Tuesday. This budget device costs 299 euros.
