Honor announces foldable smartphone Magic V

Honor is working on a foldable flagship smartphone that should be released ‘soon’, the Magic V. The brand says so in an announcement on Weibo. Honor shows an image of a foldable phone, but does not give any details about the device.

The Magic V will be Honor’s first foldable device. The brand describes the device as a ‘foldable flagship’. Details about the device have not yet been announced. The device is said to have an 8-inch screen on the inside of the fold with a Full HD + resolution, and the device is equipped with a 108MP camera and a 4500mAh battery, Android Police writes. According to GSM Arena, the device should be on the market in the first quarter of 2022.

None of these details have been confirmed by Honor. Honor confirmed on Weibo last week that its ‘upcoming flagship device’ is equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-soc. It is likely that this is the Magic V.

The Magic V announcement comes a week after OPPO announced its Find N foldable smartphone. And Huawei also comes with a new foldable smartphone, the P50 Pocket. This will be officially announced on Thursday.
