Honor 8 smartphone comes out in Benelux
Huawei has released the Honor 8 smartphone in the Benelux. The device is available from this week in the manufacturer’s own webshop. The Honor 8 shares many features with the Huawei P9 that came out a few months ago.
Biggest differences are the lack of the Leica brand on the dual rear camera and the design of that same rear. The P9 has a unibody aluminum housing, while the Honor 8 is made of fifteen layers of glass.
The phone, which was previously released in China and the United States, has a dual camera just like the P9, one with a Bayer sensor and the other with a monochrome sensor. The monochrome sensor should provide more light and details, while the Bayer sensor can add color. The camera has laser autofocus assistance and a dual LED flash.
The Honor 8 has a 5.2 “screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The soc is the Kirin 950, which has slightly lower clock speeds than the Kirin 955 of the Huawei P9. The version that is released in the Benelux has 4GB of RAM and a storage size of 32 GB. Honor asks 399 euros for the device.
