HomeWizard releases Energy Display energy monitor for 60 euros – update
HomeWizard releases the Energy Display energy monitor for just under 60 euros. The screen allows users to gain insight into, among other things, their electricity, water and gas consumption. To fully use the Energy Display, some separately available sensors are required.
The Energy Display is an extension of the HomeWizard Energy app and basically shows the same information on a separate screen, which is not touch sensitive. The supported widgets are therefore organized via the app. The screen has a diameter of 5″ and the device measures 130 x 94 x 34 millimeters in total. The Energy Display connects to a WiFi home network via the 2.4GHz band. There is a motion sensor in the screen so that the LCD panel only turns on when someone is nearby.
Users can view various energy statistics live on the screen, including current electricity, water and gas consumption, statistics about their solar panels, power consumption per individual device and the current ambient temperature. Apart from the last example, certain additional sensors are required, including, for example, a P1 Meter or Energy Socket from HomeWizard.
Statistics | Required sensor | Sensor costs* |
Total power consumption | P1 Meter | €29.95 |
Gas consumption | P1 Meter | €29.95 |
Water consumption | Water meter | €49.95 |
Power consumption per device | Energy Socket | €27.95 |
Power consumption car charger, heat pump or meter cupboard group | kWh meter | €59.95 |
Solar panel information | kWh meter | €59.95 |
*HomeWizard offers a few euros discount when customers purchase an Energy Display in combination with a P1 Meter or Water Meter. The company also has a relatively cheaper 3-pack of Energy Sockets. This is not included in the table.
Update, 4:40 p.m: Prices of required products are included in the table.
