Hollow Knight Silksong gets new trailer and comes to Game Pass upon release
Hollow Knight: Silksong, the sequel to the action platformer Hollow Knight, is coming to Xbox consoles and will be available through Xbox Game Pass at launch. That is what developer Team Cherry announces. The studio also shows a new trailer for the first time in more than two years.
Team Cherry announced at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase that Silksong will be available via Game Pass for Xbox consoles and PCs. The title will also be available on Steam, GOG, the Humble Store and Nintendo Switch.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will be a sequel to Hollow Knight, a Metroidvania-esque 2D action platformer. Silksong was initially intended as DLC for the original, but was later disconnected as a standalone game. The game follows Hornet, who also played a major role in the first part. Silksong was announced at E3 in 2019, but little information has been released about the game since then.
The studio is still not sharing a release date, but did show off new gameplay footage during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. Microsoft states that all titles shown during that presentation will be released in the next twelve months. The game should therefore be released in the first half of 2023 at the latest.
