Hogwarts Legacy release date for PS4, Xbox One and Switch announced
Warner Bros. announces that Hogwarts Legacy will be released on April 4 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Switch version will follow in the summer. The release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC is scheduled for February.
The publisher makes the release for the previous generation of Xbox and PlayStation consoles known on Twitter. The game will be released for these consoles on April 4. The company also refers to a page with frequently asked questions, to clear up some uncertainties about the Harry Potter game. Over there can be read that the game will be released on July 25 for the Nintendo Switch.
Hogwarts Legacy has already been postponed several times and in August it was announced that the game would be postponed to 2023. The developer Avalanche Software needed more time to complete the game. The release date is now February 10, 2023, but at this announcement there was no mention of a release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or the Switch. It now appears that these versions require even more time. Particularly the Switch version.
Hogwarts Legacy takes place at Hogwarts, but is otherwise separate from the story in the books. So players are unlikely to encounter Hermione and Harry in the game. Instead, players can create their own character in the game to attend wizard school.
