HMD announces Nokia phone with built-in wireless earbuds

Finnish phone maker HMD Global has announced a phone with built-in wireless earbuds. The phone has a slider mechanism, behind which the wireless earbuds are located. They can also be charged there.

The built-in earbuds have a battery life of four hours when listening to music, says the manufacturer. The phone itself is a dumbphone with Nokia S30+ operating system. In addition to wireless earbuds, the device also has the option of connecting wired earbuds via the 3.5mm jack. Charging the 1450mAh battery is done via a Micro-USB port.

The cheap phone has a 2.4″ screen with 320×240 pixels and a camera with 640×480 pixels. The device has 4G support and has space for two nano-SIM cards. The processor is a Unisoc T107, a 22nm processor with a single Arm Cortex A7 core at 1GHz. The device has 48MB Lpddr2 memory and 128MB storage. Due to the limited platform, it is not possible to stream audio from streaming services. The 5710 XpressAudio comes out for 89 euros.

In addition, HMD will introduce the Nokia T10, a small tablet with an 8″ screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The software should distinguish itself via Google Entertainment Space, a way to bundle streaming services so as not to have to switch between apps to start streams. HMD also promises three years of Android upgrades and three years of security updates.The device comes in variants with and without 4G.

The soc is a Unisoc T606, with two Arm Cortex A75 cores and six A55 cores. The tablet has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The 5250mAh battery can be charged with 10W via the USB-C port. The tablet is 20.8×12.3cm in size and 9mm thick, with a weight of 375g. The tablet will cost from 169 euros. Nokia announced two more cheap phones with the 2660 Flip and 8210 4G, both with a 2.8″ screen and both intended for the low-end segment. Both cost 79 euros.
