Hitman developer is working on online RPG in fantasy world

IO Interactive, the developer known for the Hitman games, among other things, confirms that it is working on a game that is described as an online RPG in a fantasy world. In 2021 there was already a rumor that the studio was working on a fantasy RPG.

IO Interactive speaks about a ‘new adventure’ and that a new world and intellectual property are being built. According to the developer, the world and the game are being made in such a way that players can enjoy them for years to come, with expansions to follow for many years to come.

People speak of a ‘daring’ or ‘naughty’ online fantasy RPG, but do not give any further details apart from a single concept art image. The studio makes it clear that the project is still in its early stages; There is therefore no clarity about a potential release period yet. The company is also actively seeking developers for this project.

In April 2021, there was already a rumor that IO Interactive was working on a fantasy RPG, stating that it was a major project with a medieval setting and dragons. It was then assumed that it would be an Xbox exclusive, but the studio is not saying anything about that now.
