Hello Games Releases Sentinel Expansion For No Man’s Sky
Hello Games made a new free expansion available for No Man’s Sky on Wednesday. The expansion includes large enemy robots, new weapon upgrades and an altered combat system.
The developer says the update “contains an overhaul of the combat system and enemies to make the game more challenging”. One of the new enemies is a giant robot equipped with a flamethrower. Combat is more varied and faster, including adjustments to the rate of fire. Hello Games has also tinkered with the camera settings, making the fights more “dynamic”.
The expansion brings new weapon upgrades and provides the Multi-Tool projectiles with new effects. It is now even possible to build your own robots to accompany you as you explore the planet.
Furthermore, the PC version of the game supports AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0, which should provide better image quality and a higher frame rate.
No Man Sky’s Sentinel update is out now on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S. The expansion is also available for both Game Pass versions.
