Head of AMD Radeon marketing department switches to Intel
Heather Lennon, who has been responsible for digital marketing at Radeon Technologies Group for the past few years, is making the switch to Intel. There she joins Raja Koduri’s team, which works on video cards.
Lennon will also work on digital marketing at Intel. This is evident from a tweet in which she announces her new position and in which Intel welcomes her. Lennon has been with AMD since 2011.
The Intel Graphics team has expanded in recent years with many leaders who previously worked for competitors such as AMD or Nvidia. Last year, Intel brought in Chris Hook, AMD’s former marketing director. The director of technical marketing at Nvidia has also been recruited by Intel. At the beginning of April, it was still rumored that Tom Petersen had made the switch, but Intel soon after did too confirmed.
The shifts began in late 2017 when Intel appointed Raja Koduri as the architect for the graphics cards Intel is working on. Before that, he was an architect of Radeon GPUs at AMD. Intel’s upcoming high-end video card should be released in 2020.
