V1 Interactive, the studio founded by the former directors of the Halo and SOCOM games, has announced its first game in the form of a teaser. The game, called Disintegration, will be fully unveiled at Gamescom in August.

The teaser features a machine or vehicle equipped with machine guns and jet engines. A workbench next to the machine gives an idea of the scale of the thing; it looks about man-sized. From the description on YouTube it can be concluded that it is a first-person shooter with a science fiction theme. On the eve of the Gamescom game fair in Cologne, the game is actually shown, apparently via a live stream. That’s on August 19.

V1 Interactive was founded in 2016 by Marcus Lehto, who was the Creative Art Director at Bungie for over a decade, and Michael Gutmann, who was Vice President for five years at Zipper Interactive, which created Crimson Skies, SOCOM and MechWarrior 3. The studio publishes through Private Division, a subsidiary of Take-Two.
