Valve has announced the exact release date of its upcoming VR game Half-Life: Alyx. The game will be available on March 23. Until now, Valve had only disclosed the release month.

Half-Life: Alyx’s Steam page still only lists March as the release date, but via Twitter Valve mentions the date of the release. March 23. It seems that there will be no delay in any case, but Valve announced the game quite recently: in November last year. The game costs 50 euros and will be available for the Valve Index VR glasses, the Vive and Oculus glasses and the Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

Half-Life: Alyx is a prequel that takes place between the events of Half-Life 1 and 2. The game, according to Valve, lasts about as long as Half-Life 2. The game is exclusive to virtual reality and will not be available for regular screens or controllers. Valve says players will need at least a Windows 10 PC with a Core i5-7500 or Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, and a GTX 1060 or RX 580 graphics card. Players also need at least 12 gigabytes of RAM.
