Haier Introduces 9.75″ Tablet with 7.6mm Thickness

On the eve of the IFA fair, Haier has announced five new tablets that run Android and Windows. The most striking model is the HaierPad 971, an Android tablet that is 7.6 mm thick and has a qxga screen.

The HaierPad 971, which runs on Android 4.4, has a gold-colored housing that is 7.6 mm thin according to the manufacturer. The 9.75″ IPS screen offers a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. Internally, Haier has opted for an undisclosed quad-core SOC that runs at 1.8GHz. There is also an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel camera The tablet also has Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band WiFi. The 7800 mAh battery offers a battery life of up to 8 hours, according to the manufacturer. The tablet will be on the market later this year with a suggested retail price of 249 euros.

Haier also comes with a Windows-based HaierPad W81. The tablet is equipped with an Intel quad-core processor and an 8″ IPS screen. The tablet runs on Windows 8.1 and offers Office 365, among other things. Dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro HDMI connection are available as standard. storage is 32GB.The tablet should cost 199 euros and this model will also be on the market later this year.

Refrigerator manufacturer Haier has also announced the HaierPad 781 and HaierPad G781, two budget tablets based on Android 4.2 with a thickness of 7mm and a 7.85″ touchscreen. The G variant also offers 3g. The two models cost 129 and 179 respectively. Finally, Haier has the HaierPad 782 and HaierPad G782 on offer. These 7″ tablets offer a screen with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels, run on Android 4.4 and have an unspecified octacore soc. Furthermore, the manufacturer promises a working time of six hours, thanks to the 5200mAh battery. Again, the g model offers a 3g connectivity option. The tablets appear with prices of 179 and 199 euros respectively.
