Game developer Bohemia Interactive has confirmed that hackers have attacked its servers. In addition, source code may have been stolen from the survival game DayZ, but the attackers would not have had access to user data.

On the Unknown Cheats forum, a post appeared in which a user with the alias DevDomo claimed that he had gained access to servers from development studio Bohemia Interactive using a SQL injection. The attacker posted as ‘evidence’ some images of alleged source code and code that would have attacked the servers. A tool has now also appeared online that can be used to debug the survival game DayZ.

Bohemia Interactive has now confirmed the hack and is investigating, the website Relyonhorror reports. The developer allegedly indicated that the attackers had no access to user data. Also, the development of new titles would not be endangered by the hack. Despite this, there is a risk that new exploits will come online in the coming days, allowing a player to perform cheats.
