Hackers break into Twitter CEO’s account
Hackers have managed to break into CEO Jack Dorsey’s Twitter account. The hack was carried out by a group calling itself OurMine, which was also responsible for breaking into the accounts of Mark Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai.
On the Twitter account Dorsey’s tweets were posted by the hackers, referring to the website ourmine.org. The hackers suggested ‘testing the account security’. The tweets posted by the burglars have since been removed, but Engadget has taken a screenshot of one of the messages.
This isn’t the first time OurMine, a group that claims to provide “security services” for websites and social media, has broken into public figures’ Twitter accounts. For example, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was previously a victim of the hacker group. Google CEO Sundar Pichai also briefly lost ownership of his Twitter account. With the break-ins, OurMine seems to want to advertise its hacking services.
