Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Final Releases October 23 for PC
The final version of the digital card game Gwent will be released on October 23 for PC. The version for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will follow on December 4. The game is already available as a public beta, but will receive an update with major changes at the official date.
The update is called Homecoming and gives the game a new visual style, with a three-dimensional board and characters standing next to the board. The number of lanes will be reduced from three to two and other gameplay mechanics will also be adjusted. Earlier, the developer wrote about the changes in a blog.
CD Projekt Red announces Gwent’s release date in a video, in which developers provide more details and show what the game will look like upon final release. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales will be released simultaneously with Gwent. That is a single player variant of the game, which offers thirty hours of gameplay according to the makers. This is also a digital card game, but different cards are used than in Gwent. A price of Thronebreaker has not yet been announced.
