GTA Online will no longer be supported on Xbox 360 and PS3 from December 16
Rockstar is pulling the plug on GTA Online on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Shark Cash cards will no longer be sold from September 15th, and GTA Online will be completely discontinued for these consoles on December 16th, including stat tracking in the Rockstar Games Social Club .
It only concerns GTA Online on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, Rockstar emphasizes. On newer consoles, GTA Online just keeps working. On November 11, an improved version will also be released for the latest generation of consoles, the Xbox Series S and X and the Playstation 5.
Rockstar will stop selling its in-game payment method Shark Cash Cards for Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 15. On December 16, the servers will be shut down for these consoles and online stat tracking via Rockstar Social Club will also be discontinued.
The same goes for two other games on the old consoles: players will no longer be able to see website stat tracking and leaderboards for Max Payne 3 from September 16, and online multiplayer will also go offline for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and stat tracking for LA Noire for these consoles also stops. These changes should not affect access or progression in the story mode of these games.
