GTA Online gets The Contract story expansion with Franklin and Dr. dre

Rockstar Games will release a new The Contract expansion for GTA Online next week. This update adds new missions, among other things, in which GTA V character Franklin plays a role. Also rapper Dr. Dre is coming to GTA Online.

Rockstar Games reports that the expansion will be available on December 15. It will be a free update for GTA Online. The story missions from The Contract take place several years after the events of GTA V. Franklin has set up his own agency, targeting Vinewood’s elite, “looking for solutions to upper-class problems.” Franklin is therefore looking for a ‘reliable partner’ and a ‘prominent customer’. GTA Online players would become the partner, and the customer would be rapper Dr. dre.

In addition to the new missions, the update also adds new music. GTA Online is getting a new radio station and “major updates” to existing stations, including “unreleased and exclusive music” from Dr. Dre and other musicians. The online game will also get additional side missions, new weapons and vehicles and ‘more’.

dr. Dre was previously in GTA Online, as part of the Cayo Perico Heist that came out late last year. Rumors have been circulating for some time that Dr. Dre would appear again in a GTA title. Snoop Dogg already told Rolling Stone at the end of October that the rapper is working on new music for Grand Theft Auto, although it was not yet clear that it was about GTA Online.
