GTA III and Vice City coming to PlayStation 3

Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City are likely to be coming to PlayStation 3. Both PS3 versions have been given an age rating by the US Entertainment Software Rating Board.

The ESRB website mentions Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PlayStation 3. It therefore seems that both games, which originally appeared for the PlayStation 2, among others, will still be released for the PS3 . However, Rockstar and Sony Computer Entertainment have not yet announced anything about the possible release of these games.

It is not the first time that both games, eleven and ten years old respectively, have appeared in an ESRB list. That already happened in January, but the ESRB removed the PlayStation 3 versions from the lists afterwards. The return of the games seems to indicate that a conclusion already drawn at the time is correct, namely that GTA III and Vice City will appear as Classics on the PlayStation Store. GTA III previously appeared on Android and iOS.

The release of GTA III and Vice City for the PlayStation 3 can be seen as a ‘warm-up’ until the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series comes out. Rockstar is working on GTA V, but has not yet announced when that game will be released.
