GreedFall developer working on action RPG Steelrising

Spiders, the French developer behind GreedFall and The Technomancer, has announced a new game. Steelrising is an action RPG set in an alternate history, where robots roam around 18th century Paris.

Steelrising is set during the French Revolution in Paris, but in an alternate universe where King Louis XVI terrorizes and oppresses the French people with a robot army. Players take on the role of Aegis, the protagonist who battles this reign of terror.

Spiders has shown a first trailer for the game, in which no gameplay can be seen yet. The game is in development for PC and next-gen consoles. There is already a Steam page online, but it doesn’t contain more details.

The French studio released GreedFall last year, an RPG that was well received. According to the makers, Steelrising contains more action than that game. It has not yet been announced when the new game will be released. Steelrising is published by the French Nacon.
