Gotham Knights, the upcoming game from Arkham Origins developer WB Games Montreal, is being pushed back one year. The game was set to release sometime in 2021 and now it’s sometime in 2022.

Lots of explanation gives WB Games Montreal not about it in his post. The studio says it “gives the game more time” to provide “the best experience possible” to players. The makers also thank the fans for their support.

Gotham Knights was announced in 2020. The game will be similar to the studio’s earlier game Arkham Origins and the rest of the Arkham Games. However, there will be differences: it takes place in a different Batman universe, the protagonists are different characters and there is the possibility to work in co-op with up to two players. The game will also get optional stealth and a leveling system.

A time for the announcement claimed a Twitter user that he had information about this game. He or she was already right about the fact that the ‘Bat family’ is playable; in the game one can play as Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood. He also claims that there will be a nemesis system. That term comes from another game from the same publisher. That could also be true, because publisher WB Games recently obtained a patent for that system.
