GoPro announces three Hero 7 cameras and announces prices

GoPro has announced three action cameras in its Hero 7 line. The cameras differ in color and specs. The most expensive, the black version, costs 429.99 euros. The cheapest is the white one and it costs 219 euros.

The Silver version is the middle and costs 329.99 euros, the GoPro site states. The Black version of the Hero7, with a price of 429.99 euros, is a lot cheaper than its predecessor Hero6 Black, which cost 570 euros when released last year. The price of that action camera has now dropped to slightly above 400 euros.

The price is the only new thing GoPro was able to announce during its event, because a US online store put the press release and product pages online early. As a result, all characteristics were already known in advance. In addition, the manufacturer said earlier that there would be cameras of about 320 and 220 euros.

The Black, Silver and White differ on several points. The dimensions are almost the same, but the models have different camera sensors. The Hero 7 Black can shoot in 4k at 60fps, in 2.7k at 120fps, and in 1080p at 240fps, while the Silver and White can’t get past 60fps at 1080p.

The most expensive version in the Hero 7 series also gets new features such as HyperSmooth video stabilization, which is a form of digital image stabilization that, according to GoPro, produces images that look like they were shot with a gimbal. The Black is also the only one to have a Status Screen on the front, something that previous Black models also have.
