Google will announce a suspected Pixel 4a Monday
Google is set to announce its suspected Pixel 4a smartphone on Monday. This is evident from a page that the search giant has put online. The ‘lorem ipsum’ text refers to key areas of the phone, including battery life and camera.
The page does not initially show a date, but users who click on the gray blocks will see the color change. If the six blocks are blue, red, yellow, blue, green, and red, the text “ the Google phone you’ve been waiting for ” will appear and the August 3rd date will appear in the big picture.
The text starts with the standard ‘lorem ipsum’, but then continues with words that do not exist in Latin, such as ‘lowlightena capturum’ and ‘longlastingis batterum’. These probably refer to spearheads of the device, such as video calling, low-light photography and battery life.
There have been rumors for months about a successor to the Pixel 3a, which was released in May 2019. The release would have been planned for May, but now seems to take place in August. That’s relatively short on the release of Android 11, presumably in September, and the successor to the more expensive Pixel 4. Google will release much of its hardware in October.
