Google has provided a test version of Gmail for Android with some new features. For example, users can pin e-mail messages so that they remain visible in the list, there is a snooze function to temporarily consider messages as read and new tabs are visible.

The star-marking system is gone in the test version of the Gmail app for Android, which Geek managed to get hold of, and a way to pin is introduced instead. Pinned messages remain at the top of the Inbox list. Pinning is done by means of a toggle button.

In addition, the company is experimenting with a snooze or snooze function for e-mail: messages can be linked to a timer. Before the timer expires, Gmail considers the mail as read, after which the message is returned to the top of your mailbox as unread, as a reminder.

Finally, there are new tabs in the test version. In addition to, in the American version, Social, Promotions, Forums and Updates, there will be the Travel, Purchases and Finance tabs. It is not known whether the functionality will come to the public Gmail app for Android in its current form.
