Google Stadia works from Thursday on Samsung Galaxy S and Note smartphones from the S8 and Note 9. The game streaming service also works on the Razer Phone, the Asus ROG Phone and the successors of those devices.

Until now, Stadia only worked on the Pixel 2 and newer from Google itself. That will change from February 20, Google reports in a blog. Samsung’s top models from recent years will all receive support, and so will the recent gaming smartphones from Razer and Asus. It is not clear when Android smartphones from other manufacturers will receive support for Stadia. It is also unknown when the service will be available for iOS devices.

Google launched Stadia late last year. The game streaming service is still in beta. Stadia could already be used via browsers on laptops or desktops, with Chromebooks and via the Chromecast Ultra on TVs. The range of games that can be played via the service is still limited. Google previously promised that 120 new games will be added this year.
