The Stadia game streaming service will support up to four controllers in multiplayer games over a local network. This is in the updated version of the faq. In it, Google also reports that players can continue to use their games if the publisher removes the title from the platform.

Google has released some more details about the game streaming service in the most recent version of the FAQ for Stadia. For example, in addition to an online multiplayer mode, there will be a possibility to play certain games via a local network, with Stadia supporting up to four controllers. Techsite 9to5Google further discovered in the updated faq that the controllers, which are connected to a game session via WiFi, must first be configured via Bluetooth. The Stadia Controller can also be connected to a computer, Chrome OS tablet and a limited number of Pixel smartphones via USB-C. Later, according to Google, more mobile devices will receive support.

The updated FAQ also states that players “have the right to continue using purchased games”: “Some games may not be available for sale in the future, but existing users will be able to continue playing those titles. Barring unforeseen circumstances, previously purchased games will always be available.”

Another update in the faq concerns whether Stadia will be compatible with Daydream or other VR headsets. Google replies that there is currently “no news to share” on that subject.
