Google shows back Pixel 4 with two cameras
Google has released an image of its upcoming Pixel 4 smartphone. The company will probably only announce that smartphone in four months. The render shows a square camera island on the back with two cameras inside.
Google tweeted the image in response to various rumors about the phone in recent days. “Since there seems to be some interest, here it is. Just wait until you see what it can do,” Google tweeted with the hashtag Pixel 4.
The image only shows the back, with a camera island on top. It has two cameras, an LED flash and two other elements; one might be a hole for a microphone, the other might be a laser for autofocus.
The render shows nothing of the dual design of current Pixel phones, with a glossy top and a matte bottom. The reflection also indicates a bend in the glass at the back. The buttons are also visible: it concerns an on/off button and volume buttons.
It is the first time that Google has put a render of its smartphone online months before the expected release. However, a lot of information from previous Pixel phones appeared online, with the Pixel 3 appearing to be for sale online several months before the release. Google recently released the Pixel 3a phones.
