Google releases VR painting program Tilt Brush for Oculus Rift

Google has released Tilt Brush in the Oculus Rift Store. The virtual reality painting program is for sale there for thirty euros. The package was already available for the HTC Vive since those VR glasses came on the market.

Since the program relies on motion controllers, Google has probably been waiting for the Oculus Touch controllers to appear. They have been available since the end of last year. According to Google, the Rift version of Tilt Brush has been adapted to the Touch controllers. Resting a finger on a certain button on the controller shows an indication of what that button does, Google says.

In Tilt Brush, users control a palette with one controller and the brush with the other. Then patterns can be painted in the air, which the user can then walk through and around to create a spatial painting, as it were. Tilt Brush is available from Tuesday in the Oculus Store and costs thirty euros. The program was already for sale on Steam for the HTC Vive for the same price.
