Google releases new ‘snooze function’ Inbox
Google has updated its ‘smart’ mail app Inbox with which emails with important data can be ‘snoozed’ for a certain time with one movement. In this way, a reminder in the form of an email can be shown in the app later.
Google reports in a blog post that it is rolling out the renewed snooze function for Inbox. Inbox shows the function for delivery messages, restaurant reservations and flight information, among other things. That information can then be pushed aside for a certain period of time with one swipe, to be shown again at a later time.
The internet giant introduced Inbox last year as a ‘smart’ email service for multiple platforms. The service doesn’t look like a traditional mail client, but gives Gmail users a sort of timeline that bundles similar messages together. In February, Google made its client compatible with the iPad and Android tablets, and the Safari and Firefox browsers.
In May, it appeared that Google was working on two other new features, namely ‘Signatures’ and ‘Delete’. Those functions have since become available in the penultimate Inbox version. At the time of writing, the latest release, with the updated snooze function, is not yet available.
